Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas

The seven-story Centrum is the hub of this ship, an atrium of polished marble and gleaming brass that's surrounded by bars, lounges and shops. Favorite gathering places include the elegant Champagne Bar, the nautically themed Schooner Piano Bar and the Viking Crown Lounge, which is perched high atop the ship and offers spectacular views. Work out with a view in the fitness center, spend a few pampering hours in the day spa or play basketball on an open-air court. The Adventure Ocean youth program caters to kids of all ages with special activities, parties and lounge areas. There's also a poolside movie screen, casino, showroom and three lounges for dancing. Delicious continental cuisine is served in two formal dining rooms, while casual eateries such as Sorrento’s Pizza, Johnny Rockets ’50s-style diner and the Windjammer Café are open throughout the day for a relaxed meal. Grab a cappuccino or snack at Latte-tudes coffee bar. Recent updates to staterooms include new, luxurious bedding and flat-screen TVs.

Ports Visited

Cozumel, Mexico

Just off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula sits the island of Cozumel, draped in lush, tropical vegetation. The reefs that fringe the island beckon divers and snorkelers. The most popular shore excursions include snorkeling on famous Palancar Reef or a beginner's dive at Paraiso Reef. A land tour will provide a nice taste of Mexico -- Cozumel has done much to retain its Mexican character. Tourists also may want to take a short trip inland to visit the great pyramids and temples of the Mayas.

Tampa, FL

Cruises from Tampa depart year-round.

Midway down Florida's west coast, Tampa is within a four-hour drive of Tallahassee, Miami and Jacksonville. The city is home to a number of attractions and theme parks, including Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island, Lowry Park Zoo and Florida Aquarium. Lovers of the arts can visit the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, the Tampa Museum of Art and the USF Contemporary Art Museum. The Florida Orchestra also is based in the Tampa Bay area.

Costa Maya, Mexico

Mysterious ruins rescued from the jungle, monkeys announcing themselves from the trees, incredibly beautiful and rare birds, pristine beaches and a magnificent coral reef are just some of the attributes of the Costa Maya. This southern section of the Yucatan coast stretches 80 miles from Xcalak, a fishing village on a finger of land reaching out to Belize. The reserve's untouched forests and wetlands are home to a wide variety of birds, crocodiles, jaguars and monkeys as well as numerous Mayan sites.
